Cara Renfroe started her career with iconic retailers Macy’s and Mervyn’s LLC before joining Blackhawk Network (BHN), a high-growth tech-enabled global branded payments provider. In her 14 years at BHN, Cara has played pivotal roles in building product and supply chain, launching an initial IPO, and crafting enterprise infrastructure across a vast network of acquisitions in the customer loyalty and fintech space. Cara’s rise has been powered by a leadership approach that prioritizes customer-centric strategy across people, processes, and technology.

Meet The Speakers

Cara Renfroe

As SVP, Global Operations & Transformation at Blackhawk Network (BHN), Cara Renfroe has executive oversight of the organization’s Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Merchandising, Customer Support, Account Management, Procurement, International Operations, and Transformation functions. She is a seasoned technology and business professional with deep experience in operations, enterprise systems implementation, product management, business operations, and strategy. Cara has held progressively increasing leadership roles at BHN, across operations, technology, and product. Prior to BHN, she spent many years in the retail industry at Macy’s and Mervyns LLC as a Corporate Buyer. Cara holds a B.A. in Business from the University of Oregon.

Abby Schlatter

Abby Schlatter is commonFont’s CEO and a co-founder of the company. Abby started commonFont in 2013, inspired by the potential to deliver value and impact for clients and create rich and rewarding employment experiences for teammates. Abby’s prior experience includes executive leadership, strategy, operations, and sales across diverse industries, including technology, education, and the industrial sector. Abby earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College.
